Raw vegan spiced oat cookie
An ingredient that you may not see often in raw food cuisine is a grain. Most of the grain should be cooked as they can be hard to digest. However sprouted oats can be used nicely in recipes like raw biscuits, bread and porridge.
I prepare oat grain by soaking, sprouting and then dehydrating over a few days. Then make it into flour by grinding in a thermomix.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sprouted oat flour
- 2/3 cup almond activated
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ashwagandha
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp cardamom
- 1/8 cup flax meal
- 1 1/2 tbs Irish moss gel
- Enough Monk fruit to sweeten
Add a small amount of water at a time to make a spreadable dough. Cut out using your favourite cutter and dehydrate for around 6 hours. Spread our pilinut and tremella spread generously.
