Chlorella (Chlorella pyrenoidosa) is a single celled, freshwater algae. It is an incredible, multi-faceted superfood. It contains over 60% of protein, and boasts an abundance of nutrients, such as  vitamin B12, iron and vitamin C, antioxidants, omega 3, fibre, chlorophyll and enzymes. But its most important attribute is its ability to help rid the body of toxins, such as heavy metals, and even radioactive particles.

The abundance of chlorophyll in chlorella gives it a deep emerald-green colour.
