HOW TO MAKE ELDERBERRY SYRUP with astragalus, cinnamon chips and clove sweetened with lakanto

HOW DO YOU MAKE ELDERBERRY SYRUP FOR YOUR IMMUNITY?

I first came across elderberry syrup when I was studying holistic nutrition. I made the syrup by simmering elderberry then mixed with honey. Organic honey in enzyme rich, raw form is an amazing superfood for most of us. Unfortunately for those who have any sugar sensitivities, honey is still not optimal for our health.

 

This Syrup is made with our lakanto, which is a sugar substitute that tastes and measures like sugar, but has zero calories and zero glycemic index and won’t affect your blood sugar levels.

When your immunity is not functioning too well you would want to limit your sugar intake.

Here is elderberry syrup recipe using Lakanto with added boost of beautiful warming spices and immunity boosting super herb Astragalus.

 

Elderberry syrup with astragalus, cinnamon chips and clove sweetened with lakanto

1 cup elderberry

1/4 cup cinnamon chips

10 cloves

3 strips astragalus

2/3 cup lakanto or your preferred sweetener

2 1/2 cup water

Simmer all the ingredients till it thickens. keep it in the fridge and consume within 10 days
