firstly I apologise for not posting recipes for you lately. Today was the first afternoon off I had in argggghhh….almost three months. There are so much to do on top of a staff on holiday I had to cover for that I have been working really hard lately. Don’t get me wrong. I love what I do. All the extra projects I am working on are exciting and I cant wait to share with you all. However I promised myself I’d never put myself in this position again.
When we are too busy for prolonged time there are so many aspects of life that would suffer.
I had less time with my daughter (and our dog!). Even when I got home in the evening I was either tired or grumpy and stressed about more work that needed to be done till I go to bed. I got sick (and I never get sick). And I had no extra creativity left.
We now live in the society that somehow glorify busyness. We need to be productive and busy for the right reasons and not let that define us.
Would you unbusy with me by
- Realising that we can choose how busy we want to be.
- busyness is not a badge of honour
- Ask for a help. If you need to spend extra money to free up your time it is worth it.
- Knowing priorities and become more intentional
- learning to say No
- Have a quiet space each day – meditation, yoga, journaling…whatever works to get you connected with your soul.
Let’s get back to the recipe!
Broccoli, pumpkin seed and seaweed pate
90g broccoli, cut into small florets
1/2 cup pumpkin seed, activated
1/8 cup nutritional yeast
1/2 cup Karengo Fonds (use wakame if not available)
salt to taste
Place all the ingredients except Karengo Fonds in a food processor and process until it forms a paste-like mixture.
Add Karengo and pulse to mix
and serve with crackers.
so easy but nutritious pate mix, ready in seconds!
If you are a seaweed lover like me you will LOVE Karengo Fonds. They are like wakame but has delicate flavour and softer texture. These seaweed from the Pacific Ocean are sourced from clean water and tested for chemicals, toxins and heavy metals.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on busyness. What are your must to set the intention for more conscious and restful day?
with much love
