Di Tao He Shou Wu

A prized Chinese herb used to combat premature ageing, impotence, angina, and vaginal discharge. It can also be used to increase energy.

Full Description

He Shou Wu or Fo Ti is a Chinese herbal medicine, derived from the Polygonum multiflorum thunb plant. It is part of the buckwheat family.

Often referred to as the “Elixir of Life”, in the Orient, He Shou Wu is one of the most prized herbs in Chinese Medicine. It used to combat premature ageing, impotence, angina, vaginal discharge and helps increase energy.

Shoku Iku’s He Shou Wu has been prepared traditionally by curing it in black bean sauce to extract the maximum benefit from the root. This process is superior to uncured He Shou Wu as it can cause gastrointestinal upset.

He Shou Wu root has wonderful benefits for the blood, heart and circulatory system. Lecithin found in the root may help diminish arterial plaque reducing hardening of the arteries while lowering blood pressure, cholesterol and triglycerides possibly reducing the risk of stroke and other cardiac diseases. It may also reduce excessive bleeding which helps with healthy menstrual flow in women.

He Shou Wu is high in zinc, iron and copper. Zinc is an essential trace mineral; numerous aspects of cellular metabolism are zinc-dependent. Zinc plays an important role in growth and development, the immune response, neurological function, and reproduction. Zinc is also critical to reproductive health and function.

Recent research show that He Shou Wu can provide enhanced sexual function in men as well as helping to replenish sperm count. With amazing ability to stall premature ageing process He Shou Wu is useful to the elderly to ease knee and joint pain, as well as reducing premature greying of the hair for both men and women.

For those wondering about the name “He Shou Wu” translates to “the black-haired Mr He.” It came about due to the transformational, youth-regenerating effects it had on Mr He who discovered the herb.
