Bamboo Salt has a long history of traditional use in Korea for oral care (as a tooth powder, valued for its alkaline, mineral-rich properties) and as a skin scrub, traditionally used to support a clear, healthy-looking complexion. Its high mineral content and alkalinity also explain why it’s traditionally added to drinking water or used in at-home remedies for digestive comfort.
In the kitchen, it’s prized as a finishing and seasoning salt. Its natural sulphur content is often credited with deepening savoury flavours, with many describing it as making eggs taste “more like egg.” It works well across a range of savoury dishes, from simple seasoning to soups, marinades, and grilled protein.
