Introduction
We all know this, food has the powerful ability to influence every cell and system in our body. Every time we eat, we are consciously, or unconsciously, making a choice for our body, mind and soul.
It is important to have a balanced diet. However, I am convinced that this is not enough this days. In the last fifty to one hundred years, our environment has changed drastically. Some studies show most of our foods have less nutrients including calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, zinc, vitamin C, Bs and E and many more. Experts report that this is due to the preponderance of agricultural practices designed to improve traits (size, growth rate and pest resistance, climate adaptability), but not to respect the natural way.
On top of the decline in nutrition, we are living in an environment full of toxins, chemicals, pesticides and synthetic hormones, as well as radiation and EMF from our electric devices. We are often stressed with demanding jobs and fast-paced lifestyle.
One of many ways to upgrade our health is by adding superfoods along with other protective lifestyle choices and habits.
Superfoods are the most nutrient-dense foods in the world. Vitamins and mineral pills are often not bioavailable. Superfoods, on the other hand, are real, whole, unprocessed foods that are packed with wide array of health promoting compounds. Most of them have been used for centuries with proven and some magical results. Now we are fortunate enough to have an access to their amazing powers to nourish our body, mind and soul.
These are real FOOD that can be easily intergraded into your meals, drinks, smoothies, or drink as tea. As with any new powerful food, I recommend that you introduce them slowly in smaller quantities and be in tune with your body.
