coming to the end of 2015 – receiving end of lease letter

2014I am not sure if that is anything to do with getting older but time seems like its flying past me. It is only 1 week away from Christmas and soon we will be celebrating 2016.

It has been almost 3 years since we first opened. I got a letter from the real estate agent to see if I wanted to extend the lease. I have to be honest here. It was not an instant yes. I knew I would extend the lease but there was a moment of pause. I have so much more I want to do with Shokuiku but running business, especially business like this is not easy.

I opened Shokuiku with passion and love for healthy eating and desire to share my food creativity and experience. I wanted to create a space that I wish I had when I was on this journey, bringing people together and strengthening of this awareness of safe, real and good food.  No business plans, no solid hospitality experience, no management background. You can say it was my calling. I didn’t even think about a possibility of “failing”.

I made tons of mistakes, business was pretty messy, worked really really hard and loved connecting with all of you. I was exhausted and wondered if that was all I had. I was so thankful for beautiful support and trust I received, but I felt guilty about dragging my daughter, layla into this. And at the same time I was grateful for my personal growth and all the learning, definitely feeling stronger than ever before about conscious food movement.

Thank goodness for Marjana, who has been my right hand person who has been with me over 2 years I started being able to let go of this baby a little and think about how I can serve you better.

In 2016 I want to be more organised, so that I can make my dreaming and visioning into the reality without feeling overwhelmed.

How can I help you better? How can I inspire you to tap into your true wellness?

I always love hearing from you.

Thank you so much for being part of this movement.
